The Worlds Oldest Derby plays out its 158th edition as the Worlds two oldest teams clash to win the Alan Cooper Memorial Trophy.
158 years ago the first football match was played between two football teams and the birth of competitive football.
First played on Boxing Day 1860, the «Rules Derby» is the oldest fixture in world football. The first game was played at Sandygate and resulted in a Sheffield FC victory by two goals to nil.
158 years on and we play at the Coach and Horses ground in Dronfield for the latest version of this derby.
