SIDshare is excited to host Emily Wilson-Smith, the director of Irise International, for a workshop which provides students with an insight of Irise’s work, more information about their volunteer and placement opportunities as well as their collaborative project with SIDshare to support their aim to fight Period Poverty within Uganda, the UK and elsewhere.

Irise’s vision is to create ‘A world where no one is held back by their period’.
The charity delivers programmes and research in the UK and East Africa to support young people and and their communities to address menstruation related barriers. Irise is a learning organisation focused on research and learning related programme implementation and champions innovative research and approaches, working with a wide range of partners. Irise aims to disseminate learning and transition successful programmes to partners who can support long-term delivery and actively encourage learning to be replicated by others.
