This course is for you!
Over 8 weeks, professional improvisers and creators of 5* improvised play Between Us Alex Keen & Rachel E. Thorn will give you practical guidance in creating characters, scenes and narrative arcs using the techniques of improvisation.
Starting from the basic principles of Yes, And and Who, What, Where, this course will introduce you to techniques for creating and heightening dramatic stakes, give you a thorough grounding in theories of narrative and teach you one or more formats for a longform narrative show.
The course will culminate in an optional (but highly recommended) performance, giving you the opportunity to put your skills into practice in a performance setting.
The sessions will take place every Monday in January and February 2019, from 7pm to 9.30pm, at the University Arms Pub (197 Brook Hill, Sheffield S3 7HG).
The cost of the course is £90 for all 8 sessions. To book a place, email [email protected]
