This course involves making a simple wrap / cape using the Coolcrafting Workshops Skye pattern. The outer wrap is cosy wool and you will have a choice of lovely drapey cotton lawns for the lining. Three large buttons will be provided to finish off the wrap, which can be worn with the buttons sitting up the centre or across one shoulder.
Construction is very simple. Fast sewers are likely to finish in around an hour, but more time will be provided to ensure that everyone is able to finish.
All materials and equipment will be provided. You will also take away an original paper pattern.
Tea, coffee, soft drinks and homemade cake are included.
Skill level: Beginner
As for all of our sewing workshops, you must be able to use a sewing machine with a reasonable level of skill. On that basis, you should have either completed an “introduction to sewing machines” session, or have used a sewing machine yourself to undertake simple tasks like joining two pieces of fabric. If you have not done this, this course will not be suitable.
Terms and conditions:
Our workshops are open to individuals aged fourteen and upwards. However, a responsible adult must remain on site at all time with minors.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Any further details, along with anything you need to bring with you, will be sent out via email in advance of the scheduled date.
All workshops will begin promptly at the scheduled time, so please ensure that you arrive early enough to get yourself settled in and have a coffee and cake before the class is due to start.
For cancellations with more than two weeks’ notice, a refund will be given, less a 25% administration fee. Cancellations with less two weeks’ notice are non-refundable, unless we are able to fill your place.
All workshops will clearly be marked as being suitable for beginners, intermediate or advanced. When booking a workshop, you are responsible for assessing your own abilities. Happy Hare cannot be held responsible if you book the wrong level of workshop or do not read the description of the workshop correctly. A refund will not be given for booking a workshop which you later feel is not at the right level for you, unless the cancellation is made more than two weeks’ prior to the scheduled date.
Should we need to cancel a class due to circumstances beyond our control or limited numbers, a full refund will be given. Alternatively, you will be given the option to book onto another workshop.
Please note: when making a booking it is assumed that our terms and conditions have been read and approved.
